Auditions for our Spring production of SOMETHING'S AFOOT will be held on November 18, 2018 at 1:00 and November 19, 2018 at 6:30 PM. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars to be sung with an accompanist (will be provided). Reading from the script and a brief dance sequence will also be required.
Something's Afoot is a musical spoof that takes a satirical jab at the Agatha Christie "who dunit?" murder mysteries. Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country estate during a raging thunderstorm. One by one they are killed in mysterious (and hilarious) ways as they try to discover the murderer's identity. The situation is complicated by rising floodwaters, power failures and suspicious behaviors carefully noted by Miss Tweed, an elderly amateur detective.
Roles for 4 women and 6 men are available. All roles require singing and a moderate amount of movement. There is no ensemble - principal roles only.
